Hello everyone,
My name is Jace, a third-year student at the International Business School. I’m currently completing my minor at Hanze and am excited to spend another year with IBS-U!
Last year, I served as the head of various committees and as the board’s external coordinator. This year, I’m excited to continue my journey with IBS-U as the Chair. This year, I’ll be the one who is responsible for ensuring that IBS-U runs smoothly and that our community keeps growing.
With the experience I gained last year, I’m looking forward to working with our amazing board members and seven committees to make this year even better!
You can usually find me around campus, at the IBS-U office, the IBS info desk, or in front of the coffee machine, satisfying my caffeine needs. If you have any questions about IBS-U, school life, or need any kind of help, feel free to stop by or reach out anytime!
When I’m not at school, you’ll probably find me on a terrace grabbing drinks with friends or at home watching movies.
I’m looking forward to meeting you all at our events. Cheers to a successful year ahead! 💙❤
Hoi everyone,
I’m Romy, and I’ll be the Secretary of IBS-U for the 2025–2026 academic year! :)
Serving as a ‘seccy’ means handling meetings, social medias & website, as well as official communications. Thus, being half French 🇫🇷 and half Dutch 🇳🇱 is definitely an asset in this Board life: it helps me stay connected with our members, other associations, and university staff – making sure everything runs smoothly!
A little about me: I love sports and spending time with loved ones – whether that’s a cozy cooking afternoon or a fun night out in Groningen. I also looove travelling, but I’ll stop myself here… I’m a naturally curious and passionate person who enjoys learning and sharing stories, so once I start talking, it might never end… ;)
If you’d like to get to know me better, don’t hesitate to drop by the office for a coffee.
After planning the successful Charity Ball last year, I’m super excited for the months ahead with my fellow ‘Bestuurders’ and everyone in the amazing IBS-U family we’re building! 💙❤
Hey everyone!
My name is Joshua, I’m from Hamburg, Germany, and currently a second-year International Business student here at Hanze.
This year, I’ll be serving as the Treasurer for IBS-U, taking care of the budgeting and helping to keep our finances organized so our events and activities can run smoothly. I’m really looking forward to working with the board and our committees to make this a fun and well-organized year for everyone.
In my free time, I’m always open to playing a round of pool, spending time with friends, and discovering nice places around Groningen.
I’m excited to get to know you throughout the year and hope to see you at our events!
Hello everyone!!
My name is Oskar Bakker and I’m this year’s internal coordinator. I’m 19 years old, from Chicago, and a second year in IB’s 4-year program. I joined IBS-U’s social committee at the beginning of my first year, where I planned exciting events, made countless friends, and attended a few too many borrels.
I’m lucky to be responsible for the members of the IBS-U, its 7 impressive committees, and for ensuring proper collaboration and efficiency throughout the entirety of the year. Whether you’re in the union or not, please feel free to talk about any manner of issues, no matter if you’re having relationship problems, or if you need help with your 401k.
I’m unbelievably excited about this year and getting to better know all of you!
Hey there!
I’m Lionel, and just like Gustavo Fring, I am the link between the outside world and IBS-U (minus the meth…), a businessman in practice, always looking to make the most out of an opportunity. I’m Zimbabwean-born and Ugandan-raised! I enjoy sports, namely football and cricket (blessed to be able to play every sport ever!), and if I’m not finding IBS-U’s next collab, I’ll be on a football pitch somewhere in Groningen.
I am a fan of geography and general knowledge, thus sometimes I ask too many questions! I love connecting and collaborating! It is my dream to see IBS-U work with the best of the best. Personally, I’d like to be an ambassador of the association and the university, helping both achieve their goals. We have exciting collaborations in the pot waiting to serve you, just like the average Los Pollos Hermanos joint! If you have feasible collaboration ideas, hit me up! I’m always available for a chat.
See you all around :)
