Board Position Description

Position Overview:
The Chairperson at IBS-U leads the association with vision and structure. This role involves guiding the board, overseeing policy, and representing IBS-U externally. As the spokesperson and primary contact for key stakeholders—including the SSA, other study associations, and the Hanze UAS dean or coordinator—the Chair ensures alignment between internal operations and external partnerships. Additionally, the Chairperson supports members as a confidential advisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and prepare board and general member meetings.
- Represent IBS-U as the official spokesperson in both internal and external matters.
- Maintain active communication with external bodies such as SSA, other associations, and Hanze UAS representatives.
- Draft, implement, and update policy plans to guide the direction of the association.
- Serve as a confidential advisor, supporting members when needed.

Position Overview:
The Secretary at IBS-U plays a vital role in supporting the Chair and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Responsibilities include organizing schedules, planning meetings, managing emails, and maintaining clear communication. The Secretary also assists with various tasks and projects as needed, ensuring efficiency and coordination within the team.

The Treasurer at IBS-U is responsible for managing the association's financial health and ensuring transparency in all monetary matters. This role involves bookkeeping, budget management, and overseeing invoices and reimbursements. You will ensure the smooth operation of financial processes while working closely with the audit committee.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and communicate with the audit committee.
- Manage and approve budgets responsibly.
- Process invoices, reimbursements, and fund requests.
- Monitor all incoming and outgoing finances for accuracy and transparency.

Position Overview:
As Internal Coordinator at IBS-U, you are the main point of contact for our members and play a crucial role in ensuring their engagement and satisfaction. From managing new sign-ups to mediating committee activities, your work supports smooth communication between the board, members, and committees. You’ll also oversee ongoing events and provide solutions to challenges, fostering a positive and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communication: Facilitate communication between members, committees, and the board.
- Monitoring: Track event progress and ensure committees are functioning effectively.
- Support: Assist members and committees with problem-solving and guidance.
